Our University's International Students Embarked on An Inspection Trip to Wuyuan for Rural Revitalization |
From November 23rd to 24th, our university organized a Rural Revitalization inspection trip for 50 international students from 7 countries, including Madagascar, Mexico, and South Korea, to Wuyuan County. The students had the opportunity to experience the charm of Huizhou culture and the achievements of new rural development up close. In Hongguan Village, Zheyuan Town, guided by local villagers, the international students embarked on a hike along the Huirao Ancient Path, wandering through the ancient village of Hongguan. They learned about the stories behind the architecture, which reflected family traditions and customs, and sensed the profound weight of family values and ritual education in the hearts of the Huizhou people. In Shimen Village, Qiukou Town, the students visited the Blue-crowned Laughingthrush Science Museum, floated leisurely on bamboo rafts at Moon Bay Dock, and wandered through the narrow alleys, witnessing the autumn harvest scene. They understood how villagers have leveraged ecological advantages to create economic benefits, rejuvenating this thousand-year-old village through rural revitalization. The students were amazed by the seamless integration of modern infrastructure with the natural landscape of the countryside. Gan Yue, a student from Madagascar, couldn't help but exclaim, This is a perfect fusion of modernity and nature! |
