On the afternoon of June 29, the university’s Music and Art Plaza came alive with the 2026 International Student Chinese Talent Show and Graduation Farewell, themed “Graduation·Connections·New Beginnings.” The event combined the presentation of completion projects from the “Chinese + New Media” training program with a showcase of traditional Chinese performing arts, highlighting the personal and academic growth of international students throughout their studies. It served both as a reflective tribute to their time on campus and a warm send-off for those about to embark on their next chapters.

The program opened with a choral performance of Lichun (Beginning of Spring). The first segment, “Achievements in Learning,” focused on the outcomes of the “Chinese + New Media” training. Graduation video projects were screened, followed by detailed feedback from invited instructors, who commended the students’ creative approaches and learning progress. Awards for Best Actor and Best Actress were presented, and participants received completion certificates in recognition of their efforts.

The second segment, “Showcasing Talents,” featured a vibrant lineup of performances by international students. A Peking Opera piece demonstrated the art form’s expressive nuances; a classical dance, Guose Shenghui (Splendors of the East), evoked traditional elegance; a kuaiban (rhythmic storytelling) piece titled Ode to Poyang Lake celebrated the local landscape with lively cadence; a martial arts display, Wudong Qiankun (Dynamic Universe), combined strength and grace; and a chorus of Fenghuang Huade Lukou (At the Crossroad Where Phoenix Trees Bloom) conveyed heartfelt sentiments of friendship and parting.

In the third segment, the “Star of Chinese Talent Learning” honor was awarded. NGUYEN TIEN LINH(阮玲), a Vietnamese student, spoke on behalf of the recipients, sharing her journey from struggling with kuaiban to performing confidently on stage. She noted that the art form not only refined her Chinese pronunciation but also gave her a deeper appreciation of Chinese cultural traditions.

The fourth and final segment, “Farewell with Warmth,” brought the event to an emotional close. BETSAROANA FRANCICA WALKY（乔安安）, a graduating student from Madagascar, reflected on her seven years of undergraduate and graduate study at the university, expressing that Jiangxi had become her second home. Graduating representatives then recited I Love You, China, a poem conveying their genuine affection for the land and the community that had embraced them.

With fond memories and a wealth of knowledge, the graduates now set out on new paths, carrying with them the cross-cultural friendships and experiences forged during their time in China. The event marked both a meaningful conclusion to their academic journey and a hopeful beginning to the next stage of their lives.
