On September 20, the university held an orientation session for incoming international students in Room W1205 of Weiyi Hall. Forty-six students of the Class of 2026 gathered to begin their academic journey in China.

The session opened with campus police officer Wen Dongming, who used real cases to explain common online fraud tactics and prevention tips. He urged students to be especially vigilant against AI-enabled scams and to protect their finances.

Li Haijun, Party Secretary of the college, spoke on the theme of four dos and four don'ts, encouraging students to familiarize themselves with Chinese language and culture, abide by Chinese laws and regulations, and serve as ambassadors of friendship between China and other countries. He described the orientation as the first button in their studies in China and urged them to become young envoys who understand China and connect it with the world.

Two officers from the Exit-Entry Administration Division of the Nanchang Public Security Bureau gave presentations on legal and safety matters. Officer Chen Jing explained visa types, application procedures and required documents in detail, helping students navigate visa affairs with clarity. Officer Wang Yonghuan outlined policies on internships, employment and religious activities for international students in China, and used cases to illustrate the consequences of overstaying and unauthorized work, encouraging students to adopt the principle that compliance means safety.

Yi Fei from the college's international student office introduced campus rules, dormitory regulations and scholarship policies to help students settle into campus life.
The session was substantive and well targeted, effectively raising legal and safety awareness among incoming international students. Russian student Xiaomeng said, Through this orientation, I have gained a clearer understanding of Chinese laws, regulations and campus rules, and I am full of expectation and confidence for my studies and life ahead.
