-Foreign students in JXNU took part in the fifth foreign student’s recital contest finals
At 2pm on May 12th, 2016, Ms An Ran, the dean of International Education School hosted an opening ceremony in Southern Technology University. With the speech by YuanLi, the director of Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), the fifth foreign student’s recital contest finals kicked off. The topic of this contest was “Youth Sparkled in Exotic”. And foreign contestants from 22 different universities presented a wonderful performance for everyone.

HOLY FANANTENANA HENINKAJA RAJOELINARIVO, 18year old, a Malagasy from JXNU brought us recital work “Chinese Bridge, Chinese Dream” and finally won the third prize. His performance was started by wonderful martial arts, with a big applause by the audience. In later recitation, he showed not only his love for Chinese musical instrument-gore silk, but also his obsession with Chinese songs and Chinese language treasure --- sketch. Besides, he told his hard experience for pursuing study east and persistence for his Chinese dream, which moved each judge and audience. At last, vice chairman of Writers Association of GuangDong Province, the famous poet Mr. Yang Ke made comments on performances of all contestants and especially mentioned Fan Wei who impressed him so much. He said, “It is high time that teenagers should have more skills.”

In this contest, contestants not only won the prizes but also were aware that they were not alone in the road of pursuing their dreams. What an excellent boy Fan Wei with Chinese dream was!
