Conditions of Admission

 Eligibility

-Applicants must hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificates for four years  or above and have an actual overseas residential record for at least two years over the last four years (by the end of April 30th of the year of entry).

Age and Academic Requirements

-Applicants of Chinese Language Training Programs shall be under the age of 35 and hold a High School Certificate or higher diploma.

-Applicants of General Scholar Programs shall be under the age of 45 and hold a high school certificate or higher diploma.

-Applicants of Senior Scholar Programs shall be under the age of 50 and hold a Master's Degree or higher degree.

-Applicants of Bachelor Degree Programs shall be under the age of 25 and hold a High School Certificate or higher diploma.

-Applicants of Master Degree Programs shall be under the age of 35 and hold a Bachelor's Degree or higher degree.

-Applicants of Doctoral Degree Programs shall be under the age of 40 and hold a Master's Degree or higher degree.

-Applicants shall attain at least 65 percent or equivalent grade in all subjects, admission of the best applicants.

 Language Proficiency

-Applicants of Chinese-medium programs shall have an adequate command of Chinese language: Applicants of programs of science, engineering, economics, law, management, education and arts instructed in the Chinese language must attain a score of 180 on the  HSK4 (Chinese Proficiency Test Level Four); applicants of programs of literature, history and philosophy instructed in the Chinese language must attain a score of 180 on the HSK5.

-No Chinese proficiency requirement for applicants of the Bachelor Degree program of Chinese Language, and English-medium Programs (the Bachelor Degree programs of Business Administration, Computer Science and Technology, and Electronic Information Engineering).

-Applicants of English-medium Programs shall provide TOEFL iBT 80 or above/IELTS 6.0 or above/certificate or English as the instruction language during previous studies

 

 Economic Capacity

Self-funding applicants shall enclose a deposits certificate with value of equivalent to RMB 30.000 or above.

Applicants of all scholarship programs shall comply with related conditions listed by the scholarship sponsors.
