From April 21st to 22nd, 2018, The Second Chinese Language Teaching Idols Summer Camp central and southern areas competition, hosted by Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) and International Language Teaching Materials Research and Training Base of Sun Yat-sen University, took place in Guangzhou.

 

                    

   

Malagasy girl VELONANDRASANA ELODIE ELINA, a first-grade post-graduate in the master program of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, overcomes all the difficulties and has been promoted to the top six of the foreign student group. She will go to Beijing to attend The Second Chinese Language Teaching Idols Summer Camp activities on behalf of Jiangxi Normal University in June.

 

                            

 

There are 41 competitors from 21 colleges and universities to participate in this competition. The competition consists of two parts, namely, simulated classroom teaching and culture spread competition, to examine the competitors’ teaching skills and the competitors’ ability to promote Sino-foreign culture dialogue. After two rounds of fierce competition, 12 candidates were produced, including 6 Chinese students and 6 foreign students from 12 universities in central and southern areas.
