From November 9th to 10th , 13 foreign students from our school were invited by Jiangxi Provincial Communist Youth League Committee to participate in the first International Ceramic Culture Art Festival research activities in Jingdezhen.
On the morning of September 9th , the foreign students' research team visited the National Ceramic Museum under the guidance of the docent. They enjoyed the beauty of Chinese ceramics and had a profound understanding of the history of Chinese ceramics. In the ancient Kiln Folk Custom Expo area, the research team closely observed the ancient ceramic production process, and felt the magic and charm of the clay adobe gradually forming into porcelain. In the afternoon, the foreign students participated in the launch ceremony of the Art festival and visited the ceramic art studio in Sambaopeng to experience the charm of ceramic art at close range.
On the morning of October 10th , the research team visited the Manchu Kiln, which is equipped with modern porcelain making technology, and had an immersive experience of porcelain making. In the afternoon, the research team visited the Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art Biennale with the theme of The Spirit of Porcelain in Jingdezhen Ceramic University and enjoyed the international ceramic art feast.
In the forum Face to Face with Jingpiao, Foreign Jingpiao and ceramic Artists, the foreign students had a deeper understanding of Chinese ceramic culture after listening to the real stories. They were moved by the spirit of these Jingpiao young people and ceramic art masters who are committed to inheriting, innovating and carrying forward Chinese porcelain culture, and they all said that they would cherish their study time in China, learn more about the excellent traditional Chinese culture to feel the successful experience of contemporary China's development, and actively spread Chinese culture to the world with family and friends.
For this research activity, the students said that they earned a lot. Lin Xize, a foreign student, said that the most unforgettable thing for her in the process of studying was to copy and create on the adobe with her own hands. Seeing the patterns on the cup shaped little by little in her hands, she felt a sense of pride in her heart.Wu Ni, a foreign student, said, Before I came to Jingdezhen, I always thought Chinese porcelain was just an 'antique' for collection. It was not until I came to Jingdezhen that I realized that Chinese ceramics are not only useful, but also modern and keep pace with times.
